Dikalicism is a monotheistic and dominant faith on Redaros. It has origins in Ashatyan mythology and was founded by the Ashatyan Saint Pashar. Its teachings are based on the Edict given to Pashar by God in the year 2 XA. Saint Pashar established the Hexarchy in Pasharopolis which also serves as the Church of Dikalicism.

History and Origins[]

Dikalicism was developed from both the Ashatyan beliefs of Saint Pashar and the Kaladine beliefs. Saint Pashar had conquered Kalidos for Takhal the Great, but Takhal had died in 9 XA, leaving a splintered empire and continuous unrest within Kalidos. While Saint Pashar was an extraordinary general, he was no statesman. In 2 XA while praying to Ashatyan gods, he received the Edict from God which taught him how to rule his subjects with just. Saint Pashar passed on what he learned to his followers and established the Hexarchy in 0 in Pasharopolis. From there, Dikalicism would spread across Redaros.

Beliefs[]

The mainstream belief of Dikalicism is that a morally right society will naturally evolve into a state of prosperity. By living with a morally right lifestyle, one's life will eventually become prosperous. Should his/her lifetime end before every becoming prosperous, he/she will be granted entrance to Heaven, which lasts for eternity. Heaven is always prosperous and no misfortunes will ever fall upon the person again. However, if the person lived a life of immorality, he/she will certainly be destined to fall into Hell in the afterlife, where he/she will receive only misfortunes.

Dikalics believe in seven virtues that will lead to prosperity:

  • Chastity
  • Temperance
  • Charity
  • Diligence
  • Patience
  • Kindness
  • Humility

Opposite of the seven virtues, Dikalics also believe in seven vices that will lead to misfortune:

  • Lust
  • Gluttony
  • Greed
  • Sloth
  • Wrath
  • Envy
  • Pride
